Fundraising Events

Kicking It! 2006 was a brilliant day and the sun shone down on us. Fourteen teams entered the event raising over £350 and with the raffle we raised over £500 for the charity. Teams played in the blazing sunshine all afternoon and we lost count how many litres of water were consumed! The final match took place at 5.30 and came down to a nail-biting penalty shoot-out. The Winners The Hurricanes walked away with the Trophy and will be back next year to defend the title!

On 22nd July we held a Garden Party for friends of the charity as a way to say thank you to people who have given their support over the years and to raise awareness of our work. We had a lovely afternoon and enjoyed the sunshine drinking fruit punch on the lawn of Loventor Manor.

We are pleased to announce that we raised £950 on the day, and enjoyed the opportunity to speak with many people who work in the field, as well as friends of the charity.

During the course of the day we launched our Friends of the Charity group and hope to encourage people to join in supporting Telephone Box. Should you wish to become a member please e-mail us for details at friends@telephonebox.org.uk
